How much does custom software cost in Argentina?
August 25, 2026 · 3 min read
TL;DR
Custom development in Argentina starts around ARS 200,000 for a landing page and goes up based on backend complexity, integrations (ARCA, Mercado Pago, WhatsApp), and whether data needs to be migrated from an old system. The final price is always fixed in writing after a discovery call, never before.
It's the first question almost everyone asks us, and the short answer is "it depends" — but that answer doesn't help anyone. So let's get concrete: what actually moves the price of custom development in Argentina, with real numbers.
If you already know what type of project you need and just want the range, go straight to the pricing page. This post is about understanding why the number is what it is.
The four factors that move the price the most
1. The type of project. An institutional landing page is not the same as a management system with production, stock and invoicing. In our experience, projects cluster into fairly clear floors: landing page, web application with its own backend, a specific automation, and a custom management system (the only one without a fixed floor, because the scope varies too much).
2. Integrations. Connecting to WhatsApp Business, Mercado Pago or ARCA e-invoicing isn't free: each integration adds development and testing time. But it's also where the most value gets created — a system that doesn't talk to the tools you already use ends up being an island nobody uses.
3. Data migration. If you're coming from Excel, an old system, or "a notebook," someone has to move that information into the new system without breaking anything. The messier the source data, the longer it takes.
4. Whether it's new development or the evolution of something that already exists. Adding a module to a system we already know is cheaper than starting from zero, because we already understand the business and the codebase.
What should NOT move the price (and if it does, be wary)
The number of meetings, the size of the company quoting you, or "because you're a small business" shouldn't be factors. The price should come from the project's actual scope, not from how much someone thinks you can pay.
A real example: from custom system to product
Probac ERP started as a custom management system for a bakery-supply packaging plant: production, stock, sales and distribution. It worked so well it became the foundation for Fabbrica Gestión, our industrial ERP product. It's the ideal case: custom development that solves the real problem so well it's worth turning into something reusable.
Not every project needs to become a product — most don't need to. But it's a good sign that a well-built custom system has a much higher ceiling than a generic template.
Custom, or something that already exists?
Before quoting custom development, it's worth checking whether an existing product already covers your need. For example, if you run a beauty center, spa or barbershop, Bookear costs a fraction of what building from scratch would. To figure out whether your case calls for "custom" or "a product that already exists," the post custom system vs. off-the-shelf software has the detail.
How quoting actually works
- You tell us about your case (WhatsApp, form, or a short call).
- We do a free discovery call: what your business does today, what can be automated, what needs its own system.
- We send a written proposal with scope, fixed price and timeline.
- If the scope needs adjusting to fit your budget, we do that before starting — not halfway through.
The full reference ranges, with a USD equivalent, are on the pricing page.
